Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account data. Your email address and sign-in credentials, and your Google account identifier if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Listing content. Photographs you upload, listing fields you create or edit (titles, descriptions, prices, categories, measurements), private seller notes, and inventory locations.
• AI processing records. Records of AI-assisted identification, drafting, and pricing suggestions generated from your uploaded photos and the hints you provide.
• Research records. Comparable-research entries you enter manually.
• Export content. Marketplace-formatted text you generate for copying to eBay, Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, and eligible Etsy items.
• Operational logs. Service, security, and error logs needed to operate, secure, and debug the product. These may include IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps.

2. How we use your information

• To operate your private seller workspace and store your drafts and photos.
• To generate AI-assisted identifications, listing drafts, and price suggestions at your request.
• To publish listings you choose to make public on the SellAnything.ca marketplace.
• To keep the service running, monitor errors, and prevent abuse.
• To respond to support and data requests you send us.

Private seller fields — such as personal notes and inventory locations — are not included in public listings, marketplace exports, or the seller-assisted research query.

3. How we do not use your information

• We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
• We do not use your content for advertising or share it with advertisers.
• We do not automatically post your listings to third-party marketplaces. All external posting is copy or export driven by you.

4. Third-party processors

We use a small number of service providers to run the product:

• A managed backend and storage provider that hosts authentication, databases, photo storage, and server functions.
• AI model providers that process your uploaded photos and text hints to identify items and draft listing text.
• Web font and content-delivery providers used to render this site.
• Error and operational logging providers.

These providers process data only to deliver their service to us and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

5. Data storage and retention

• Your account data, listings, and photos are stored for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
• Photos you upload are stored privately and are only visible publicly when attached to a listing you publish.
• Operational logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging.

6. Your rights and choices

• You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your account and its data at any time. See our Data & account requests page.
• You can delete individual listings and photos yourself from within your workspace.
• Account deletion is currently handled through a support-assisted process; we complete verified requests promptly.

7. Security

Access to your workspace requires authentication, and database access is restricted by row-level security rules so that only you can read or modify your private data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information with industry-standard controls.

8. Children

SellAnything.ca is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and notify active users through the app or by email.
